The Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association is responsible for the gift shops located in the Vanderbilt Pavilion on the Vanderbilt Estate and at Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill. They sell a variety of items relating to the Hudson Valley, Roosevelts,         Vanderbilts, and the National Park Service.

The purchases made at any of  the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association sales outlets help support interpretive, educational, and visitor service programs at the individual parks in Hyde Park. For more information call 845-229-9300.

Georges Island is home to Fort Warren, which was used as a prison during the Civil War. The fort’s most famous prisoner was the Vice President of the Confederacy, Alexander Stephens. Daily tours of this famous fort are offered from May to October.
