Valley Forge National Historical Park offers educational programs at the historic site to enhance your students' academic experiences. Student participation is encouraged through use of the inquiry method and hands-on activities. There are free and fee based programs which can be reserved on weekdays from October through May. For reservations call 610 783-1037, beginning in early September. Please contact us to reserve a program at least two weeks in advance of the requested program date.

VALLEY FORGE TEACHERS RESOURCE : If your school group will not have time to attend one of our Education Programs, there is a teachers resource guide which you can download which will help you and your students learn about Valley Forge National Park without the assistance of a ranger.

Did You Know?
Port Kennedy Cave, located in what is now Valley Forge NHP, produced one of the most significant assemblages of Pleistocene fossils in North America. 14 plants and 48 animals are represented, including wolverine, Wheatley's ground sloth, long-nosed peccary, Hay's tapir, and lesser short-faced bear.
