Reading History!

Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is introducing a new education resource for classrooms.

The Reading History! cards utilize the Missouri Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) for Communication Arts in grades 3-5 while teaching Social Studies GLEs at the same time. The purpose of the cards is to assist educators in complying with the No Child Left Behind Act requirements using grade-appropriate reading activities in social studies and history.

The first Reading History! card is titled "Ulysses S. Grant," and includes post-reading activities.

You can download the PDF from the above link, or contact the site using the "Contact Us" link on the left navigation bar if you are interested in receiving a set of the cards for use in your classroom.
