Tumacácori National Historical Park
General Management Plan

Because of the purchase of an additional 310 acres of new land in 2006, which includes a section of the Santa Cruz River, Tumacácori National Historical is working on a new general management plan that will prescribe the resource conditions and visitor experiences that are to be achieved over the next 15 to 20 years.

During the week of October 11, 2009, staff at Tumacácori National Historical Park will host several general management plan (GMP) public meetings. These meetings will be informal forums where the public can learn about the historical park and share their ideas on issues and concerns relating to its management. Superintendent Lisa Carrico will make a brief presentation on the general management planning process. National Park Service technical experts will also be present to answer questions and record public comments. Attendees will be provided with a variety of methods to offer comments.

Meetings will be held at the following times and locations:

Tuesday, October 13, 2009:
Santa Cruz County Complex
Room 120
2150 N. Congress Drive
Nogales, Arizona 85621

Wednesday, October 14, 2009:
Tubac Community Center
50 Bridge Road
Tubac, Arizona 85646

Thursday, October 15, 2009:
