Discover, explore, and learn at Homeschool Days! Timpanogos Cave National Monument is inviting all 9–11-year-old homeschooled students to uncover the secrets of the underground! Students will rotate throughout the park to experience ranger-guided lessons on cave geology, animal adaptations, and the role of National Parks. Students will learn alongside other homeschooled kids and enjoy opportunities for hands-on learning around the base of the park! Homeschool Day takes place on October 1 & 2 from 10 am to 4 pm. Families will be assigned to come to one of the two days - not both. For the best experience, plan to stay for the entirety of the day. There will be an hour lunch break halfway through the day, so please pack a lunch. Siblings are welcome to join! To register and save your spot, call 801-692-5053 from 7 am- 5:30 pm. Frequently Asked Questions:Can I leave my child and pick them up after the event?No. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the duration of the event.Will we be hiking up to the cave?No. The caves will be closed for cleaning and there will be no tours available. There will be some light hiking to move from rotation to rotation but it will not utilize the steep cave trail.Can we hike the cave trail if we'd like?Sure! It will not be a part of our activities but you are welcome to hike the trail.Will Lunch be Provided?No, lunch will not be provided. Please pack a lunch for you and your child. |
