Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace NHS is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm.


The period rooms can only be seen by guided tours. Park Ranger guided tours are available on the hour:
10 am
11 am
1 pm
2 pm
3 pm
4 pm

Each tour is limited to 15 people and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Late comers will be asked to join a later tour. Those who miss the 4 p.m. tour will need to return the following day.

Groups of 10 or more need to call (212) 260-1616 and speak with a Ranger to book a group visit. A two-week advance notice is necessary. Voice mail messages cannot be used for confirmation.

Visitors may also visit the ground floor gallery which contains hundreds of original items from Roosevelt's colorful life.

Did You Know?
A baby girl was born at Fort Stanwix on August 22, 1777, the final day of the British siege. To this day we do not know the mother's or daughter's names.
