Walk the neighborhoods of Midtown Detroit and find premiere concert halls

Three major contributors to Detroit’s?entertainment legacy are located along Woodward Avenue. During the 1940s, Orchestra Hall operated as the Paradise Theatre, Detroit’s premier jazz and blues venue. Designed by C. Howard Crane, Orchestra Hall is renowned for its superb acoustical qualities. It is the historic home of the?Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Since the mid-1980s, the?Majestic Theatre?has hosted a variety of performances by pop, rock, soul, and hip-hop artists. The theater boasts the largest enameled metal panel Art Deco facade in the Detroit metropolitan region. Its neighbor, the?Garden Bowl, is one of America's oldest commercial bowling alleys and?a?venue for live music and DJs.
