Paddle Washington Creek
Paddle into the Wild
Washington Creek is located on the west end of Isle Royale National Park. Paddlers can access the creek from Washington Harbor. Motorized vessels are prohibited from entering the creek. Daily kayak and canoe rentals are available from the Windigo Camp Store. Visitors can also bring their own kayaks and canoes on a ferry or on their private vessel. Washington Creek is an excellent spot for wildlife viewing. Keep your eyes peeled for a moose taking a dip!

Accessibility Information
Paddle access to the creek is available from Washington Harbor on Isle Royale's west end. The creek becomes shallow as you paddle inland. Vessels will need to turn around and exit the creek the same way entered. Seiche activity is occasional in Washington Harbor and Washington Creek. Make sure to check the daily weather forecast at the Windigo Visitor Center before paddling.
