Partnership for the National Trails System: The Partnership for the National Trails System (PNTS) connects member not-for-profit trail organizations and Federal agency partners to further the protection, completion, and stewardship of the 30 National Scenic and Historic Trails within the National Trails System.

The PNTS advocates on behalf of the National Trails System as a whole for land preservation and stewardship resources. Other major roles of the PNTS include the collection and dissemination of National Trails news and the development of outreach initiatives and youth programming.

American Trails: American Trails advances the development of diverse, high quality trails and greenways for the benefit of people and communities. Through collaboration, education, and communication, American Trails raises awareness of the value these trail systems offer. American Trails co-manages the National Recreation Trail program by managing the National Recreation Trail database.

American Hiking Society: As the national voice for America’s hikers, American Hiking Society (AHS) promotes and protects foot trails and the hiking experience. Many of their volunteer opportunities engage the public on National Trails.
