The National Park Service honors those involved in aviation a variety of ways and has done so for many years. Here you will find a few of the incredible and inspirational stories of individuals who made a difference in the field of aviation and to so much more.

People like Amelia Jones (pictured right) who was one of the few women that served in the 99th Pursuit Squadron, better known as the "Tuskegee Airmen," during World War II. She was honored for her war service in a 2014 ceremony. You can learn more about the Tuskegee Airmen when you visit the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.
