Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail
News

The National Park Service is working with the State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Virginia, District of Columbia, and hundreds of municipalities, house museums, historic sites, non-profits and for-profits throughout the Bay on the development of a comprehensive management plan for the Trail. The planning process, scheduled to take place through May 2011, will help the NPS and its partners articulate the goals and priorities of the Trail. During a series of public meetings, residents and other stakeholders will be asked to provide their perspectives on what kinds of experiences the Trail should offer, and what kinds of impacts they would like the Trail to have on landscape conservation and sustainable development.
