Climate

South Carolina has a mild climate and is warm throughout the year. July is the hottest month with the average range of high temperature of 90-95 degrees Fahrenheit. The coastal and mountain towns average slightly lower temperatures. Average January temperatures throughout the state range from 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Did You Know?
The oldest formal gardens in the United States, Middleton Place in Charleston- within the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor- was founded in 1740 and took 100 men more than 10 years to complete.
