Junior Ranger Program

Become a Shiloh National Military Park Junior Ranger by visiting both Shiloh Battlefield and the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center. Ask the Ranger on duty about the Junior Ranger Program. The two facilities have separate books, certificates, and badges. Be sure to visit both park visitor centers to become a Junior Ranger and collect both badges.

Once you earn both the Shiloh and Corinth Badges, you automatically receive a a special Junior Battlefield Ranger patch.

Scout Groups and the Scout Ranger Program
Shiloh National Military Park is a popular place to bring scout troops. The park has several trails for girl and boy scouts to explore. We ask that all scouts and scout leaders follow these guidelines while on the battlefield.

The Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger program invites scouts to participate in volunteer service projects. This program provides scouts with an opportunity to explore the parks and learn about protecting our natural and cultural resources.

How to earn your certificate and/or patch

  • To earn your scout ranger certificate, scouts can participate in volunteer or educational service projects for a minimum of 5 hours at one or more national parks.
  • To earn your scout ranger patch, scouts can participate in volunteer or educational service projects for a minimum of 10 hours at one or more national parks.
Please keep track of your time using the Activity Tracker Log Sheet and turn it to a Park Ranger to recieve your certificate and/or patch.
