St. Paul's and the Presidents

The National Park Service invites the public to view the new exhibition, "St. Paul’s and the Presidents," which explores the interesting and varied connections of five Presidents – George Washington, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Lincoln and F.D.R. – to St. Paul’s from the 1700s through the 1900s. In 1965 Congress passed a joint act establishing Roger Williams National Memorial but it would be almost 20 years until the park was opened. “This park should remind us that the freedom for which Roger Williams fought so hard for did not come easy like the park itself,” stated Senator Claiborne Pell
