Park Planning

Sagamore Hill recently celebrated the centennial of Theodore Roosevelt’s Presidency and the 150th anniversary of his birth. We used these significant anniversaries to think about Sagamore Hill in the 21st century and how best to convey the relevance of Theodore Roosevelt to contemporary audiences.

With this in mind, the National Park Service spent the last several years preparing a “master plan” that will provide guidance for park management and development over the next 15 to 20 years. Please take a look at the final version of Sagamore Hill's General Management Plan released in September 2008. Paper copies of the General Management Plan are available for free at the Park.
