The New William Penn Mott, Jr. Presidio Visitor Center is Now OpenFriends and Families across the Bay Area joined together on Saturday, February 25, 2017 to celebrate the brand new visitor center at 210 Lincoln BoulevardThank you to all who participated in the free community celebration at the new Presidio Visitor Center, a gateway for your incredible park adventures. However, if you missed the celebration, it is not too late to discover the diverse experiences available at the Presidio through the center’s dynamic exhibits, inspiring videos, and cultural artifacts. The celebration featured an Ohlone welcome dance by the Costanoan Rumsen Carmel Tribe, live musical performances, family activities, games, food trucks, and ranger-led walking and shuttle tours. This family friendly celebration would not have happened without the collaboration of the Presidio Trust, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and the National Park Service. |
