All Areas Beyond the Lighthouse Visitors' Parking Lot are Closed.

August 06, 2018 Posted by: John Dell'Osso

Until ~October 6, 2018, the lighthouse, the stairs leading down to the lighthouse, the observation deck, the lighthouse visitor center, the restrooms at the green garages, and all paths beyond (e.g., west of) the lighthouse visitors' parking lot are closed to the public. This includes not just the official, paved path/driveway, but all unofficial "social" paths in the area.

Please note: The lighthouse is not visible from the parking lot.

This closure is necessary to provide for visitor safety by closing an area that is very narrow and steep and that will have machinery working, torn up substrates, and heavy equipment that cannot accommodate visitors walking through the area.
