This site, which contains some of the largest prehistoric earth works in North America, is managed by the state of Louisiana. These state park facilities are open to the public from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily; the site is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

PLEASE NOTE: NO FEDERAL FACILITIES.

Did You Know?
Did you know that Denali National Park and Preserve is home to both black bears and grizzly (brown) bears? Black bears inhabit the forested areas of the park, while grizzly bears mainly live on the open tundra. Almost all bears seen by visitors along the Park Road are grizzlies.
