Eastern National
The Lakeshore's cooperating association, Eastern National, operates small bookstores at four visitor centers at Pictured Rocks.

The Grand Sable Visitor Center, Miners Castle Information Station, and Munising Falls Interpretive Center are open Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Au Sable Light Station Information Center is open July 1 to Labor Day.

Hiawatha Interpretive Association
The small bookstore at the Interagency Visitor Center is operated by the Hiawatha Interpretive Association.

Open year-round, this visitor center is located at 400 East Munising Avenue, at the junction of State Highway M-28 and County Road H-58 in Munising. It is operated by the Hiawatha National Forest and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

The Schoolcraft Blast Furnace was located at today's Munising Falls site.  

Did You Know?
The Schoolcraft/Munising Blast Furnace operated from 1869 to 1877. It produced many tons of pig iron for post Civil War continental expansion. Only ruins remain at this National Register of Historic Places site, located at Munising Falls in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
