Thanks for your interest in a Pictured Rocks field trip! Please fill out the form below to request a field trip. Once completed, a ranger will get in touch with you to finalize dates and other details. Field trip dates will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Through the support of the National Park Foundation, we are able to provide funding to cover transportation costs to Pictured Rocks for 4th grade classes. A ranger will assist you with this once we recieve your field trip request.

Winter field trips will begin 1/6/2025. Field trip dates are assigned on a first come, first served basis. 

If you are requesting a 4th grade Every Kid Outdoors program (with a pre-site visit to your classroom, a field trip, and a post-site visit to your classroom) you only need to fill out one request.

Thanks to help from the National Park Foundation, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore offers FREE transportation for 4th grade classrooms (in the form of reimbursement for bussing expenses). Please indicate if you are interested in free transportation in your request.

Privacy Act Statement

Authority: Public Law 114-289 National Park Service Centennial Act and 54 U.S.C. 100701 Protection, interpretation, and research in System.

Purpose: To administer education programs for education audiences including but not limited to school groups, scouting groups, extracurricular groups, and home school groups.

Routine Uses: To effectively manage requests for education received by the NPS, the Education Reservation Request Form is used to collect basic education reservation information to facilitate operational aspects of scheduling groups for park education programs, including in-park education programs, ranger in classroom programs, and/or online distance learning programs.

Disclosure: Voluntary, however, failure to provide the requested information may impede the ability to grant your education reservation request.
