New Junior Ranger Program

Petersburg National Battlefield kicked off their new Junior Ranger Program on 26 October 2009. Congratulations to Katie Marshall for being the first Junior Ranger to complete the new program. Katie received her patch, a certificate and the first Petersburg National Battlefield Junior Ranger Commerative Coin.  There were only 100 coins printed, so hurry in and get yours today. Once they are gone, no more will be printed!

Arrowhead Day Camp A Success!

Arrowhead Day Camp 2009 was a great success.  Thanks to all the parents and campers who participated!  We are already planning Arrowhead Day Camp 2010 and look forward to an even bigger and better camp!  See the gallery below for the highlights!

Arrowhead Day Camp allowed children to take a step back in time to learn about the life of a Civil War soldier. As soldiers, kids dressed in uniform, performed marching drills, and created flags. As hands-on scientists, they pulled on their rubber boots to perform biological water tests in the stream and learned about archaeology in the trenches.
