Fees & Reservations
 

Please note that no reservations are taken for camping.  Please call Malaquite Visitor Center at 361.949.8068 to check on availability in the campgrounds.  Space is almost always available on the beaches, unless they are closed due to unusually high tides.  

PARK ENTRANCE FEES

Annual Park Pass
$20.00 Annual Fee

Details:
An annual park pass may be obtained for $20, and is valid for a year after the day of purchase.  Please note that this is a pass to Padre Island National Seashore only.  To learn more about entrance pass programs to all federal lands, including Padre Island National Seashore, follow the link to the right.


Vehicle Entry Fee
$10.00/vehicle

Details:
This is a vehicle fee and is good for seven days.


Bicycle/Walking Entry Fee
$5.00 - 7 days

Details:
Anyone walking or riding bicycles into the park will be charged $5.


Commercial Tours

Details:
Commercial tours must pay a flat fee, based upon the bus capacity.

1-6 passengers              $25.00 flat fee, plus $5.00/person
7-25 passengers             $40.00 flat fee 
26 or more passengers     $100.00 flat fee


Non-commercial Tours
$5.00/person

Details:
Non-commercial tours include school buses, church groups, etc.  A fee waiver may be issued for these groups.  Please contact the visitor center at 361.949.8068 for more information.


ACTIVITY FEES

The following fees are reduced by half for individuals with a Golden Age or Golden Access Pass.

Bird Island Basin Use Fee
$5.00 - Day
$10.00 - Annual

Details:
At Bird Island Basin, there is a day use fee of $5.00, but an annual pass can be purchased at the Entrance Station for $10.00.  Please fill out a camping permit at the Bird Island Basin camping area.


Malaquite Campground
$8.00 - Day

Details:
There is a day use/camping fee of $8.00 for use of Malaquite Campground.
