Be A Junior Ranger

Our new Junior Ranger program is here. You can become a Junior Ranger by visiting the Oxon Cove Park Visitor Center and picking up the Junior Ranger activity book.  When you complete the exercises in the book you can show it to a park ranger to receive a certificate, badge, and patch.  This program will be geared for kids between the ages of 9 and 13.

You can become a Junior Ranger at anytime by visiting the WebRangers online. Click here to go directly to this interactive site for ages 6 and up.

Did You Know?
The oldest fruit tree in the National Park Service can be found at Oxon Hill Farm. For centuries the making of cider from apples has been more than just pressing fruit to provide a delicious drink. Cider making was a social event for family and neighbors.
