Operating Hours & Seasons

Entrance to the park is free, but there is a fee for a cave tour. Cave access is by tour only.

Tours:

Early spring tours are offered five days per week, Thursday through Monday. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Daily tours will start May 23rd.

ATTENTION: Tours will be closed June 5th for staff safety training.

Same-day tickets are available, but sometimes sell out. We strongly advise stopping first at the Illinois Valley Visitor Center in Cave Junction to inquire about ticket availability. It is a 60-minute drive and walk to get to the cave, find out about tickets first.

Cave tours will be offered seven days per week beginning Memorial Day Weekend through at least Labor Day. Fall hours to be determined. The last day of the season will be November 3rd, 2024

Visitor Centers:

The Illinois Valley Visitor Center is open seven days per week: 541-592-5125.
The Oregon Caves Visitor Center is open five days per week in the early spring, Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, the visitor center will be open seven days per week.

Children and Height Restrictions

For safety, children must be at least 42" (107cm) tall to take a tour. Infant carry packs and strollers are not permitted. Childcare is not available.

No Food at Park

The Oregon Caves Chateau is closed. No food except snacks are available at the park. Pack a lunch or plan on eating in town before coming to the park.

Important Bat Information

Help save our bats. North America’s bats are under attack from White-nose Syndrome, a deadly bat disease. To prevent the spread, please do not bring clothes, (even washed clothes), shoes, or equipment used in any other cave, mine, or any other bat habitat.
