2009 Cave Tour Schedule
Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the Monument only.  Cave tours last 90 minutes.

Summer*
June 20 - September 7:  9 am to 6 pm, Tours every 1/2 hour
Candlelight Tours: June 26 - September 5, 6:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays
Off-Trail Tours:  July 11 - September 5, 12:30 - 4 pm Saturdays, Reservations required.

*Wait times can reach up to two (or more) hours during the summer season. The busiest times are between 11:00 am & 3:00 pm.  Earlier or later arrival is recommended.

Fall**
September 8 - October 12...... 9 am to 5 pm, Tours on the hour
October 13 -October 25......... 10 am to 4 pm, Tours on the hour
October 26 - November 29...... Tours at 10 am, 12, 2, & 4 pm
Closed Thanksgiving Day

**Please note that during the spring and fall seasons, tour schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Winter
No Cave Tours from November 30 - April 2010

 

Although cave tours are seasonal, Oregon Caves National Monument is always open to visitors. Occasionally in winter, snow can temporarily close park roads until they are plowed.

The Visitor Center for the 2009 season is open March 21 - November 29 except Thanksgiving Day. Hours are as follows:

  • Summer: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Fall & Spring: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Did You Know?
The furniture in the historic Oregon Caves Lodge was custom made by the Mason Manufacturing Company. The furniture has hand painted designs and often used iron strapping, and leather in its construction. The furniture was branded with a small horse shoe design, the icon of the company.
