Some tours can be reserved in advance at Recreation.gov. Same-day, first-come, first-served tickets are usually available at the Illinois Valley Visitor Center. It is strongly recommended to stop at the Illinois Valley Visitor Center in Cave Junction to check ticket availability before making the 45-minute drive to the caves. To speak with a park representative: Call 541-592-5125. Children and Height RestrictionsFor safety reasons, children must be at least 42 inches (107 cm) tall to participate in a cave tour. Infant carriers and strollers are not permitted. Childcare services are not available at the park. Food AvailabilityThe Oregon Caves Chateau is closed, and no food services are available at the park except for limited snacks. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own food or plan to eat in town before arriving. Protecting Bats from White-Nose SyndromeWhite-nose Syndrome is a deadly fungal disease affecting bat populations. To help prevent its spread, visitors must not bring any clothing, shoes, or equipment that have been used in other caves, mines, or bat habitats, even if they have been washed.
