Activities
Visitor Center: (Located inside the Nicodemus Township Hall, south of the Roadside Park, off Highway 24.) View exhibits, view short videos, stamp your National Parks Passport, and learn about the history of Nicodemus and Blacks in the West.
Walking Tours: View the five historic buildings, (only one is accessible to the public - the 1939 Township Hall which is also the temporary Visitor Center), part of a living community. The five historic buildings are physical expressions of the five pillars of the African-American community - church, self-government, education, home, and business. Ranger led tours are by appointment only (call 785-839-4233)
Year-round Junior Ranger Program

Annual Blues and Jazz Festival sponsored by The Nicodemus Historical Society is held in June
Annual Homecoming Celebration sponsored by descendants and the town's Homecoming Committee is held the last weekend in July.

Did You Know?
The town's annual Emancipation/Homecoming Celebration started in 1878 on August 1st and continues today the last weekend in July.
