New River Gorge National River is managed by Superintendent Don Striker and a staff of approximately 89 permanent and 43 seasonal employees.

Park headquarters is centrally located in Glen Jean, with employees stationed there and throughout the park. Work groups include Management, Administration, Maintenance Resource Management, Visitor Protection, and Interpretation and Visitor Services.
