Maynard Lafayette Dixon

One of Maynard Dixon's strongest convictions as an artist was, "If doubtful of your work, return to nature and renew your vision." He followed this advice all his life. Dixon started as an illustrator and developed a lifelong passion for exploring the West. He is known for moving and powerful compositions of California and Southwestern landscapes.
