Tea Service
c 1920s
Young Major Eisenhower bought this tea service set for Mamie piece by piece with his poker winnings. He also gave up buying cigarettes and began to roll his own to save enough cash to buy each piece. Mamie used the tea service when entertaining her husband’s fellow officers and their wives. Each piece is marked "DDE to MDD."

Tray
Large tray with handles formed by formation of grape leaves and grape clusters. Center of the tray is also engraved with an inner and an outer carved border. Initials on bottom read: "DDE to MDE." Hallmark reads: "LASON, 25 N--636-28."
