ENTRANCE FEES

NONE! The National Park Service charges no fees, nor is a fee charged at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center.  However, a couple of park partners do charge:

Niobrara State Park, Ponca State Park and Lewis and Clark Lake State Recreation Area (NE) require an annual valid entry permit. It is $20.35* per vehicle. A second permit costs $10.35.* The daily permit is $4.35* per vehicle.

* $0.35 is a vendor fee. If the permit is purchased in the park, the fee is $20, $10 and $4 respectively.

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area (SD) requires an annual valid entry permit.  As of February 1, 2009, it is $28 per vehicle. A second permit costs $14.  The daily entry permit is $4 if the vehicle has only one occupant; otherwise, it is $6 per vehicle. 

PASSES

The Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act established a new pass program to replace the National Parks Pass and the Golden Eagle, Golden Age, and Golden Access Passports.  Beginning January 1, 2007, the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass program will provide a number of pass options for the public to use at most Federal recreation sites where entrance or standard amenity fees are charged.

The America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Annual Pass ($80) and the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Senior Pass ($10) are available at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center.

All existing National Parks Passes, Golden Eagle, Golden Eagle Hologram, Golden Access and Gold Age Passports will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass.  Only paper Golden Age and Access Passports may be exchanged free of charge for new plastic passes.  Exchange of passes cannot be done at the Lewis & Clark Visitor Center, nor are Access (disability) passes available there.  The nearest outlets for these are at Homestead National Monument, Beatrice, Nebraska, and Pipestone National Monument, Pipestone, Minnesota.
