Ranger guides teachers and students on a tour at Delta-01

Minuteman Missile welcomes school groups for ranger-led tours of the site. Depending on class size, students can tour Launch Control Facility Delta-01 and/or Launch Facility (missile silo) Delta-09!

To learn what is best for your particular class size click on one of the links below.

Class sizes of 18 or less!

Class sizes of 19 or more!

On-site educational tour programs should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. There is no charge for these tours.

Minuteman Missile in flight  

Did You Know?
The only Minuteman Missile ever launched out of an active silo took place at a silo north of Newell, South Dakota on March 1, 1965. The flight only lasted a total of seven seconds with the rocket landing in a nearby pasture.
