Jim Miculka - Volunteer Partnership Coordinator
Transcript
Hi, I'm Jim Miculka, I am the Volunteer Partnership Coordinator with the Office of Interpretation, and Education, and Volunteers, out of WASO but physically located on the campus of Texas A&M University here in College Station.
I've been with the Park Service for almost 50 years. And during that 50 years, I've had great opportunities to work with volunteers studying a underwater archaeological program on Guam, helping map shipwrecks throughout Micronesia, and of course, our partnership between Amtrak and the National Park Service for the Trails & Rails program putting volunteers onboard Amtrak trains throughout the country.
Great opportunities for the National Park Service. I've also had an opportunity to be with the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and other places as well. But word of advice, carpe diem, seize the moment. And take that opportunity whenever it comes along, it'll do great things for you. Thanks.
