Description

We've reached another full moon tonight, which is called "Aabita Niibino Giizis" (Halfway Through the Summer Moon) in Ojibwe. This moon gets it’s name from the midway point of the summer, the solstice, which is when the new moon started this cycle. Solstices happen twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter. For our area, it is when the earth is tilted closest to the sun and furthest from the sun respectively.
