Manzanar National Historic Site

The 814 acre site is open every day from dawn to dusk.

Interpretive Center

Summer hours (April 1 - October 31) 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Winter hours (November 1 - March 31) 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed December 25

Did You Know?
Ansel Adams photographed the camp and in 1944 published a book. It was poorly received and sparked protests at the time. The book, Born Free and Equal, has recently been republished.
