National Mall and Memorial Parks bike program rangers. Tours begin at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
Join National Park Service rangers every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. for FREE guided bike tours of the Nation’s Capital. The tour season begins Saturday March 28 and concludes Sunday November 29, 2009.  All tours begin at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Photo Maryland Gold Mine.  

Did You Know?
There are several gold mines in the Great Falls area. The largest of these is the Maryland Mine located at the intersection of Falls Road and MacArthur Boulevard near Potomac, Maryland. Gold was first discovered here by a Union soldier from Pennsylvania during the Civil War.
