The National Mall has no fees or reservations associated with a visit. However for planned events dependent upon the activity and number of participants a permit may be required. Please refer to the permits section to find out more information.
Trail Clubs  

Did You Know?
Volunteers monitor and maintain the Trail and its shelters and help with operations at headquarters. There are thirty volunteer trail-maintaing clubs associated with the Appalachian Trail.
