Go to Park Headquarters to get maps, passport stamps, etc.

  1. Follow I-59 North toward Chattanooga, TN 
  2. Take Exit #222 / US-11, second Fort Payne exit- go 0.2 miles
  3. Turn RIGHT on US-11 / Greenhill Blvd. - go 1.1 miles
  4. Go STRAIGHT at Red light (Foodland Grocery) US-11/ Gault Avenue North - go .02 miles
  5. Arrive at Park Headquarters, 2141 Gault Avenue North on your LEFT.    

Go Directly to the Park

 

Continue on US-11/Gault Avenue North to 5th Street NE/ AL-35 - go 1.5 miles

  1. Follow I-59N toward Chattanooga.
  2. Take Exit #218 Fort Payne/Rainsville
  3. Turn RIGHT off Exit #218 onto AL-35/Glenn Blvd.
  4. Keep Straight until Junction of US 11/Gault Avenue S.
  5. Turn LEFT onto US 11/Gault Avenue S. Follow to 5th Street NE/AL-35.
  6. Turn RIGHT on 5th Street NE/ AL-35 - go 0.4 miles
  7. Go STRAIGHT at Red Light on 5th Street NE
  8. Bear LEFT to follow AL-35 to top of mountain to Flashing yellow light - go 2.3 miles
  9. Continue STRAIGHT on AL-35  - go 5 miles
  10. To view Little River Falls, continue past AL-176. Cross the bridge and turn RIGHT into the parking lot.
  11. If you want to take the scenic drive to view the canyon from the overlooks (very little walking is required) go back to AL-176.

To go to Little River Falls, continue past AL-176. Cross the bridge and turn RIGHT into parking lot.

 

 

Scenic Drive

If you want to take the scenic drive to view the canyon from the overlooks (very little walking required) go back to AL-176. This is an 11-mile drive with views of the canyon from eight overlooks.
