Operating Hours

The Lincoln Home Visitor Center, located at 426 South Seventh St., is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except January 1st, Thanksgiving, and December 25th.  The only entry into the Lincoln Home is by a ranger guided tour.  See the ranger at the Visitor Center desk to obtain a free ticket for a guided tour.

Did You Know?
On April 2, 1865, two days after Confederate forces were driven out of Richmond by the forces of Ulysses S. Grant, President Abraham Lincoln came to tour the city that had symbolized the rebellion. Lincoln came to Richmond not as a triumphant victor, but seeking peace.
