Sign Language Interpreter

A visitor or group can request a sign-language interpreter for their Lincoln Home visit by emailing the Lincoln Home accessibility coordinator with the subject line "ASL interpreter request." Alternatively, requests can be made by phone to 217-391-3244. Please provide the following information when you make the request:

  • Name
  • Phone number and email address
  • Date and Time of Planned Visit to the Lincoln Home
  • Planned length of Visit to the Lincoln Home (e.g. 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.)

At least a two-week advance notice is requested to secure an ASL interpreter. The interpreter's services will be strictly used only for the vistior's time while at Lincoln Home National Historic Site. If a Sign language interpreter is requested and the requestee is unable to visit the Lincoln Home, a 48-hour notice of cancellation is requested.

Assisted Listening Devices

Portable Assistive Listening Devices are available for checkout at the Lincoln Home Visitor Center Front Desk. These can be used for the Lincoln Home Tour as well as for the park films.

Park Films

There are several park films available for visitors located in the theaters in the visitor center. Park films include English open captions and access to audio description via assistive listening devices which can be checked out at the visitor center front desk.

Print Materials

Available at Visitor Center front desk, including print guides of the Lincoln Home tour, available in English and a variety of foreign languages.
