Junior Ranger Program: Being a Lincoln Home National Historic Site Junior Ranger is a very special privelege and honor. Taking a trip back to "yesterday," searching the neighborhood, finding artifacts, and writing a letter to Mr. Lincoln are just a few of the activities young visitors ages 6 to 12 may complete in our free booklet to become a Junior Ranger.

Did You Know?
Abraham Lincoln issued the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862, five days after the battle of Antietam. He visited the battlefield near Sharpsburg, Maryland on October 1-4, 1862. Antietam National Battlefield was established August 30, 1890.
