Commercial and Group Tours
Thank you for looking at bringing your guests to Fort Clatsop. We want to work with you to accommodate your clients and your business needs. We also need you to work with us to accommodate the needs of other tour groups and visitors to the park.
Please note: Reservations are required for all groups visiting Fort Clatsop. The fort is relatively small and the visitor center also has a capacity. We need all groups to make a reservation to ensure that YOUR group has as good as a park experience as we can make together. If multiple groups arrive at the same time your group will not have as positive of a visit as any of us would like. Reservations are required year round.

Summer Group Tours To Fort Clatsop:
During the peak summer months, the parking lots in front of the visitor center will be closed with access to the Fort and visitor center areas by shuttle from Netul Landing. However, in order to simplify a group visit, groups (with a reservation and arriving by bus) are allowed to off-load and load in the outer (or RV) parking lot near the visitor center for a visit starting before 11:00 am or after 3:00 pm. You may choose to use Netul Landing at any point in the day.
The Summer Essentials:
-
Reservations are required for groups.
-
Tour groups may drop off (and pick up) guests at the RV parking lot if they arrive before 11:00 am or after 3:00 pm between June 12th and September 4th.
-
If a summer tour arrives between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm they must use Netul Landing.
-
During the summer, shuttle buses will operate from Netul Landing (1.5 miles south of the visitor center). These shuttles will bring a maximum of 40 people at a time into the main part of Fort Clatsop every 15 minutes starting at 9:00 a.m. A departing shuttle will take up to 40 people back to Netul Landing every 15 minutes.
-
The park’s summer hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
-
The summer admission fee is $5 per adult and $2 per youth (4–15 years of age).
-
The escort with a group using the RV lot will walk the group to the flagpole in front of the visitor center then check in with the ranger at the front desk. A ranger will then come to the flagpole area to greet and orient the group. Groups using Netul Landing will receive their orientation there.
-
The escort should pay for the group’s admission during the visit.
If you have not yet made your reservations, please do so by contacting Sally Freeman at 503-861-4424 or e-mail us. Once you receive your confirmation letter, please ensure that your escorts have that letter with them and follow the directions on it.
NOTE ABOUT PROPOSED ENTRANCE FEE CHANGE: The National Park Service has proposed that entrance fees for the park be brought into alignment with a grouping or tier system. Under this proposal the entrance fee for the park would be raised to $7 per person beginning on January 1, 2008 (in two years.) The increase in entrance fees is attributable in part to the goal to contribute entrance fee revenue to capital improvements, meet deferred maintenance requirements and cover increasing staff costs. We are interested in your thoughts on this proposal and would welcome letters, faxes or emails. These may be sent to:
