Park elevations range from 5000 feet to the top of Lassen Peak at 10,457 feet. All park trails are snow covered. Snowshoe and ski trails from the northwest entrance at Manzanita Lake and from the southwest entrance at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center can be accessed throughout the winter.  Check out the winter recreation opportunities page. Snow fall at the southwest entrance of the park on average is 400"- 500" at an elevation of 6700'.

Did You Know?
Lassen Volcanic National Park started as two separate national monuments designated by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907: Cinder Cone National Monument and Lassen Peak National Monument.
