SCHEDULED MARINA CLOSURE AT TEMPLE BAR MAY 13-20

Temple Bar, Ariz. - Temple Bar Marina on Lake Mead is scheduled to reconfigure to adjust to reduced lake levels from May 13 to May 20. Visitors will have limited access to marina services during this time. Marina slip renters will still have access to their boats by shuttle boat.

The Temple Bar Marina fuel dock will be closed for one day on May 14. All land based services such as the store, motel and restaurant will not be affected by closures.

Visitors can contact Temple Bar Marina at (928) 767-3211

Fluctuating lake levels have forced Lake Mead consessionaires to move and reconfigure their marinas. This year's moves will cost them about $1 million by the end of the summer. The National Park Service estimates it will cost an additional $10 million to extend launch ramps. Funding from entrance fees and the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act will be used to construct permanent ramp extensions
