LAKE MEAD

COVER YOUR FEET! - changing water levels have exposed broken glass and mussel shells that will cut your feet.

Note: New permanent concrete launch ramp extentions constructed to 1095 ft elevation at Boulder Harbor, Hemenway Harbor, Temple Bar, Southcove should be in service by December as lake levels rise.

  • Callville Bay
        
    Launch Ramp - OPEN /  4 lanes launching from pipe-mat & concrete planks (10-12 % grade / approx 5-6 ft. depth 50 ft from shore). 
         Callville Bay Marina - OPEN
  • Hemenway Harbor 
         Launch Ramp - OPEN / Concrete ramp closed, 8 lanes launching from asphalt ramp - shallow water (5% grade / approx. 3-5 ft. depth 100 ft from shore). 
         Las Vegas Boat Harbor Marina -
    OPEN
         Lake Mead Marina - OPEN
     
  • Boulder Harbor
         Launch Ramp - OPEN / 8 lanes launching from asphalt below new permanent concrete launch ramp - shallow water (7% grade / approx 6-7 ft depth 100 ft. from shore)
  • Echo Bay
         Launch Ramp - OPEN /    8 launch lanes from concrete ramp (8% grade / approx 5-8 ft. depth 60-100 ft. from shore) silt on concrete launch ramp at deeper levels. More launch lanes to open soon via pipe-mat.
          Echo Bay Marina - OPEN    
  • Southcove
         Launch Ramp - OPEN /    2 launch lane launching from pipe-mat  (9% grade / approx 4.5 ft. depth 50 ft. from shore).
  • Temple Bar
         Launch Ramp - OPEN / Concrete ramp closed, 2 lanes launching from pipe-mat (4% grade 3-4 ft. depth 80 ft. from shore).
         Temple Bar Marina -
    OPEN
  • Las Vegas Bay
         Launch Ramp - CLOSED
  • Overton Beach
        
    Launch Ramp - CLOSED
  • Road Closures/Traffic Advisories:
  •      US 93 - Expect delays due to construction.

    Northshore Rd Rehabilitation Project. - Expect delays of up to 30 minutes from Redstone to the Overton Boundary due to contruction on weekdays. This project will include widening and repaving the remainder of Northshore Rd to the Overton boundary line.

         Fish Cleaner out of service, expected to be repaired by the end of November.

         US 93 - Expect delays due to construction.

Hoover Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric installation at the time of its construction, presented massive challenges to its designers and builders, yet the project was completed in less than five years! Hoover Dam backed up the waters of the Colorado River to create Lake Mead.
