Ranger-guided programs at Keweenaw National Historical Park have ended for the 2009 season. They will resume in late June 2010. Below are program descriptions for trip planning purposes. Additional programs may be offered, check at either the park information desk at the Quincy Mine Gift Shop or park headquarters in Calumet for more information.

Calumet Walking Tour
Explore the former Calumet & Hecla Copper Mining Company’s industrial area and downtown Calumet’s historic business district. 1.5 hours, 1.5 mile, Easy terrain. Accessible with assistance. Meet in front of park headquarters on Red Jacket Road in Calumet. Tour ends at the Calumet Theatre. You can then wander back to your vehicle through Calumet at your leisure

Junior Ranger Program
Learning about history can be fun! Children ages 8-12 can join a ranger for a program filled with engaging activities. All children should wear sturdy shoes and bring water to drink. 1.5 hours and .5 mile. Meet in front of park headquarters on Red Jacket Road in Calumet.

Quincy Ruins Walk
Join a ranger for a guided walk through the surface ruins of the Quincy Copper Mining Company. 1.5 hours, 1 mile, Varied terrain. Not accessible. Meet at the Quincy Mine & Hoist Gift Shop.
