There are many biographies about John Muir, but the one that is required reading for all Park Rangers and volunteers, and is also a Pulitzer Prize winner is:

Son of the Wilderness -The Life of John Muir, by Linnie Marsh Wolfe. $24.95

A newly released biography on Muir (2008), "A Passion for Nature, The Life of John Muir", by Donald Worster is now available, and is also a great read on John Muir's life. $34.95
