Junior Division Winners

The 2009 Monumental Fiddling Championship at Homestead National Monument of America was a great success! Eighteen fiddlers participated in the Junior Division, twelve fiddlers participated in the Senior Division, and six ensembles participated in the Acoustic Band Contest. The youngest fiddler, oldest fiddler, and best left handed fiddler were even recognized!

Junior Division:

Senior Division:

1st Place: Larisa Fesmire
2nd Place: Mindy Hunke
3rd Place: Gabriel Chambers

2nd Place: Urbauer Family from Lincoln, NE
3rd Place: Kopsas from Omaha, NE

Oldest Fiddler: Janice Wolbrecht
Youngest Fiddler: Rosalie Coleman

Winners from the Tune Writing Competition in conjuction with the Nebraska Chapter of the American String Teachers Association are as follows:
