Living Room in the FDR Home decorated for Christmas.

NEW FOR 2009 - Holiday Open House, Saturday, December 5th from 9:00am until 6:00pm. Free Admission all day. See the Schedule of Events for more information.

"FDR" will read passages from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Cadets of West Point at FDR Birthday ceremony

The cadets of West Point are the color guard at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Birthday ceremony.

The National Park Service hosts many special events at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt during the year. These include 3 annual events in the Rose Garden, FDR's birthday on January 30, Memorial Day in May, and Eleanor Roosevelt's birthday on October 11. The United States Military Academy at West Point provides an honor guard and color guard for FDR's birthday commemoration. All three events include guest speakers and the presentation of a commemorative wreaths by community organizations.

			Did You Know? Eleanor Roosevelt's birth name was Anna Eleanor Roosevelt. She was the fifth cousin of Franklin and the niece of Teddy.
