Miller Bridge Boat Ramp on Alabama Highway 49 is open from dawn to dusk daily

Closures

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. The park has reduced hours on December 24 and December 31.

Each year, the park hosts two special events. The Anniversary of the Battle of Horseshoe Bend is held on the weekend closest to March 27. Muster on the Tallapoosa is held on the Saturday closest to August 25. Both events include cultural and military demonstrations and many other special activities. Go to Special Events to learn more

Did You Know?
At the battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814 Andrew Jackson carried one lead ball in his shoulder and one near his heart. Throughout much of the Creek War, Jackson suffered with wounds received in two duels.
