Your safety is our top priority! Maintain an awareness of your surroundings at all times when visiting the park, and if you have a concern or safety issue, please contact a staff member immediately.

Wildlife and Pests

Maryland's Eastern Shore is a haven for mosquitoes and other insects. If you plan to spend time outdoors, be sure to use insect repellent, and be aware of insect-borne diseases and their symptoms.

Traffic

If you drive the Harriet Tubman Byway, be cautious and aware of traffic as you pull into and off of roadways. Stay alert for deer and other wildlife.
