Haleakalā National Park has three different visitor centers, and they are a great first stop when entering the park. Rangers and volunteers are on duty to help with planning your park experience. Get information on current conditions, hiking information, ranger-led activities, and browse through the gift shops. The Hawai‘i Pacific Parks Association currently operates a park store in the Headquarters Visitor Center (daily from 8:30 - 4:30 pm), the Haleakalā Visitor Center (daily from sunrise - 12:00 pm) and Kīpahulu Visitor Center (daily from 9:00 - 5:00 pm) that sells books, posters and other educational materials. Proceeds benefit park programs.
